About the firm
Conflict doesn't have to end in a courtroom.
Truce & Accord was founded on the belief that most disputes — business, family, or community — can be resolved through skilled, neutral mediation. Our practice brings legal knowledge, human understanding, and structured process to every engagement.
Dionne “Dee” Tarantino
The founding
That belief is the foundation of Truce & Accord.
I founded this practice after more than two decades working at the intersection of law, leadership, and conflict. Throughout my career, I have guided businesses through partnership disputes, helped families navigate divorce and custody, supported organizations through workplace conflicts, and worked alongside leaders facing high-stakes decisions with no clear path forward.
Those experiences taught me that the most effective resolutions come not from winning arguments, but from understanding what people actually need — and creating the conditions for honest, productive conversation.
Credentials & training
I hold a Juris Doctor and am court-certified in dispute resolution. I am a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner (CCMP) with advanced training in Lean continuous improvement and Kaizen methodologies. I bring more than 20 years of experience resolving disputes across business, family, and community contexts — virtually, with discretion and care.

Our approach
At Truce & Accord, we do not treat disputes as isolated legal problems. We look at the full picture — the relationships, the history, the practical needs, and the long-term consequences of every possible outcome. Whether we are mediating a business contract dispute, a divorce, or a landlord-tenant conflict, the same principles apply: neutrality, structure, and genuine care for the people involved.
Neutral & impartial
We do not take sides. Our role is to create the conditions for fair, productive dialogue.
Legally grounded
A J.D. and court certification mean we understand the legal landscape — without pushing you toward litigation.
Human-centered
Behind every dispute are real people with real needs. We never lose sight of that.
Structured process
Our mediation framework brings clarity and momentum to even the most complex or emotionally charged situations.
Where we serve
Truce & Accord conducts all sessions virtually, making professional mediation accessible wherever you are located. Our fully virtual practice means no travel, no scheduling friction — just the same standard of care and confidentiality for every client, anywhere in the country.
Our commitment
We intentionally keep our caseload manageable so every client receives direct, personal attention. You will work with me — not a junior associate or a case manager — from the first conversation to the final agreement.
Because when the stakes are personal, experience matters — but presence matters even more.
Ready to explore mediation?
Every engagement begins with a confidential conversation. We will tell you honestly whether mediation is the right path for your situation.
